Gareth Roberts is Professor of Statistics in the Department of Statistics and Director of the Centre for Research in Statistical Methodology (CRiSM) at the University of Warwick. Gareth Roberts leads the CoSInES project the Warwick involvement of the project New approaches to Bayesian Data Science: Tacking Challenges from the Health Sciences. He received several honors and awards (Rollo Davidson Prize in 1999 and Royal Statistical Society’s Guy medal in Silver in 2008) and was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 2013. His research interests include computational statistics, MCMC, particle filtering, Monte Carlo likelihood, stability theory for Markov chains, stochastic differential equations.
