In 1990, Eric Moulines joined the Signal and Image processing Department, Télécom ParisTech, where he became a Full Professor in 1996. In 2015, he joined the Applied Mathematics Center, Ecole Polytechnique, where he is currently a Professor in statistics. He was recognized for his work by being named a member of the Academy of Sciences in 2017. His areas of expertise include computational statistics, machine learning, statistical signal processing, and time series analysis. His current research topics include large-scale (Bayesian) inference with applications to inverse problems and machine learning and nonlinear filtering.
